The first of three Evil Within expansion packs is going to be coming in early 2015. Granted, it may be a bit out of season, considering this horror game by the creator of Shinji Mikami was originally released in October, the month of spooky scary skeletons, but it’s still going to be a joy to play.
The first DLC is called The Assignment . In it, you play as Sebastian Castellanos’ partner Juli Kidman. Kidman, if you played the original game, was an inside operative who already knew everything about the weird psychological experiments that were being performed over the course of the game, so this DLC chapter will likely tell us how she got involved with Ruvik’s madness in the first place. Kidman will play differently than Sebastian but just how she will is uncertain right now.
The second DLC pack for the game is called The Consequence , while the third is still untitled, and neither are dated. All three DLC packs can be gotten through the purchase of a $20 season pass, but have not yet been priced for individual release.
