Final Fantasy XIV To Get 1.18 Patch

Final Fantasy XIV To Get 1.18 Patch

None

Final Fantasy XIV is widely regarded as one of the worst games Square-Enix has ever produced. So much so that the company officially apologized for its crappy release and said that patches would be coming to fix the many issues present. Now that the game has acquired a new director, expanded it’s free trial indefinitely, and put the PS3 version on total hold, it’s about time to start cranking out these miracle patches to fix what was broken.

Patch 1.18 is one of the first of these many patches, and fans have been awaiting it eagerly. Producer Naoki Yoshida recently unveiled some details about the patch, including the addition of instanced raids, a far improved in-game map, a brand new stealth class, an expanded crafting system, and more. He also said that guildleves will become far less central to the game, shifting the focus onto solo quests by reducing leve-linking bonuses and rewarding solo adventurers skill points for completing quests.

There is no confirmed ETA on when the patch will go live yet, but it should be “soon.”
