Friday the 13th: The Game gets Funded

Another Kickstarter campaign has been funded within its final hours. The Friday the 13th: The Game met its $700,000 funding goal, thanks to the help of over 10,800 people. This means Gun Media will be developing an asynchronous PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC game where one player will get to be Jason and the others will get to be the camp counselors (victims).

While this is primarily a multiplayer game, Friday the 13th: The Game will have a single player mode. A player will be able to be either Jason as he goes through various missions, attempting to take down victims, or a camp counselor trying to survive. These will be presented in the first person and virtual reality compatibility is an option.

Fingers crossed that this project comes through. So far, Gun Media has only made two other games. One is the mobile Breach & Clear , and the other is the bug-filled Breach & Clear: Deadline for PCs.

If you’re looking for another asynchronous horror game to play while you wait for Friday the 13th: The Game ‘s October 2016 release, Spectre is immediately available on Steam .
