Fruit Ninja Sells Out, Goes Plushie

Fruit Ninja Sells Out, Goes Plushie

None

There’s some big money in merchandizing, especially in the casual crowd. While things like limited edition Final Fantasy XIII action figures might only appeal to the small slice of the market that lives in rooms plastered with posters of anime girls, just about everyone and their mother has played games like Angry Birds. So the market for things like Angry Birds plushies is staggeringly massive. Combine that with the fact that each plushie actually costs more than the game itself, and you have an easy formula to make tons of money.

Fruit Ninja is joining the merchandising bandwagon with its own brand of licensed plushies, which is admittedly a bit weird because the only character in the game is the sensei. Regardless, you can show off your love for slicing virtual fruit by picking up a plushie sensei or watermelon.
