As reported by Eurogamer , the online store of GameStop UK is selling PlayStation 4 consoles for £20 cheaper than the console’s initial Recommended Retail Price (£349.99). The PlayStation 4 is now priced at £329.97, or your regional equivalent.
There’s nothing special about or in the PlayStation 4 box. It’s just the bog standard PlayStation 4 pack, which comes included with the console itself and a single DualShock 4 controller. Additionally, Eurogamer reports that the Xbox One has also gone through a similar discount. Xbox Ones on Zavvi are also £20 cheaper, taking the Xbox One’s Recommended Retail Price of £429 down to £409. The Xbox One pack is too just a bog standard package: one console, one controller.
£20 (or your regional equivalent) can go a long way for some people, so saving that amount can be put towards more important things. I admit that the discount does make both consoles more financially appealing to me, but they’re still a bit too pricey for me (despite how much I would like a PlayStation 4). Saving money on something that’s as expensive as a new console is always a good thing, so take advantage of it if you’re planning on getting a next-gen console any time soon.
