GT Academy Rife with Cheaters

GT Academy Rife with Cheaters

None

GT Academy, a contest set up by Polyphony Digital (makers of Gran Turismo), is being ‘ruined’ by cheaters, according to users at GT Planet. Players noticed that the top times had been set with the help of a ‘shortcut.’ Round 2 took place at the Indianapolis Road Course, which, because of the layout, allowed for some incredible corner-cutting.

Sony Computer Entertainment of America responded by throwing out the times and replacing the course with a custom-built course called “Eifel 102A.” The cheaters themselves have been allowed to remain, for now.

The winner of GT Academy will have the chance to become a real race car driver, which for a fan of racing games is huge. Hopefully the cheating won’t further impact the results of the contest. Stay tuned to cheatcc.com for more.
