Yesterday, Rockstar Games announced that their popular iFruit GTA V companion app is now available on the PlayStation Vita. Players who have yet to use the app can download it now on the Sony Network Entertainment website .
This free app allows players to create their own vehicles and train Franklin’s pet companion Chop. Training the lovable canine in the app then allows him to become much more responsive in the game and unlock several other bonus items throughout the campaign. The app was previously featured on both Apple iOS and Android mobile devices.
While it is great to hear that this app is now on the Vita, it is still a questionable move on Rockstar’s part. It seems like GTA V owners would have benefitted more if this actually launched along with the game last year. On the bright side, maybe this might be a sign that the game may be coming to the PS4 in the not too distant future. Hopefully we will know more about this sooner rather than later.
