We recently reported on Guillermo del Toro’s intentions of making video games with a “big company.” Although no company names were given at the time, del Toro promised we’d learn about the deal in the next few weeks. Apparently, he didn’t take into account that someone could make this information public before being able to officially announce it himself.  While there has still been no official announcement from del Toro or the “big company” he’ll be working with, the L.A. Times has reported that the director is in nearly-finalized negotiations with THQ. According to the report, the deal between del Toro and THQ is only a few weeks away from closing, however, THQ has declined to confirm any such negotiations. |
