Katsuhiro Harada Adds New Middle Eastern Fighter to Tekken Roster

Katsuhiro Harada Adds New Middle Eastern Fighter to Tekken Roster

A couple months ago, Katsuhiro Harada shared brand new character development art with the Tekken community. That art was for a brand new Middle Eastern fighter, now named Shaheen. Harada reached out to his middle eastern fans in order to figure out whether or not the fighter was doing justice to Middle Eastern culture and tradition. This is the character model he went with, a little bit more subdued from his original idea. What do you think? Is Shaheen a stereotype? Does he do Middle Eastern culture justice? Let us know what you think in the comments.

Meanwhile, fans are still outraged over the Lucky Chloe situation. Half are upset that the fighter, essentially a raver catgirl, is even in Tekken in the first place. The other half are upset that she won’t necessarily be on every platform. Well, Harada did say that Lucky Chloe wouldn’t actually be cut from the American release. He was “kidding” and basically making a reference to everyone who said they would rather die than see a catgirl in Tekken . Shaheen will also be joining the American roster of Tekken 7 as well.
