Kinect is certainly a device with a lot of selling power, as the device was the fasting consumer electronic device to hit the one-million sold mark. However, it looks like Kinect is not done breaking records, as it has recently become the fastest device to hit the ten-million sold mark. Xbox 360 executive Aaron Greenburg tweeted the good news today that as of today, ten-million Kinect units have been sold, along with ten-million games.  Of course, when I heard the news, I couldn’t help but think that surely the iPhone or iPad must have been a faster seller (remember the lines for the iPhone 3G?) but apparently the Guinness Book of World Records has certified that the Kinect beats the iPhone/iPad in terms of sale speed and numbers. |
