Mario And Sonic’s Next Olympic Outing Gets A Release Date

None

Do you like Mario? Do you like Sonic the Hedgehog as well? How about games with ridiculously long titles? Well, Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games will be coming to the Wii and the 3DS, and should satisfy all those desires and more.

Today, SEGA officially announced the release date of this Olympic-themed mash-up. The Wii version should dash onto North American store shelves on November 15, with Europe just a tad bit behind on the 18th. Even later to the party is the 3DS version, which arrives in February of 2012. That’s still plenty of time to get yourself warmed up for the 2012 Olympics, which are scheduled to begin exactly a year from today.

The Wii version will get an enhanced version of the 100m sprint, and the 3DS will see the arrival of the 110m hurdles event. And, according to SEGA’s press release, “These are just two of the classic Olympic events that appear alongside a host of brand new Olympic and Dream events in Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games.”

Whether you’re a longtime fan of the Mario and Sonic at the Olympics titles, or you’re just aching to get a pre-Olympics fix of the Blue Blur and everyone’s favorite Italian plumber, this game’s got you covered.
