Metal Gear Solid 3D Delayed

Metal Gear Solid 3D Delayed

None

The 3DS lineup is already hurting right now. Without the killer app to sell the console, public opinion about the powerful device has been slowly dropping. Sure, Super Mario 3DS and Mario Kart 3DS are coming, but in the meantime, we all were looking forward to hardcore third-party titles like Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D. However, it appears as if we may not even be able to rely on the great Solid Snake to get us through this short 3DS recession.

Supposedly, Snake Eater 3D has been delayed in Australia from a late 2011 release to a 2012 release. Word on the delay came straight from Konami, but they wouldn’t go into details as to why. They also wouldn’t narrow down the date to anything other than 2012.

Fans are worried that this means the US or European release dates for Snake Eater 3D will be pushed back as well. Either way, this is a horrible blow for the 3DS, especially when you consider the fact that Snake Eater will be getting an HD 3D remake for home consoles later this year as well, and that doesn’t appear to be pushed back at all.
