Microsoft Chooses Money Not Mob

Microsoft Chooses Money Not Mob

None

The idea of 1 vs. 100 for the Xbox 360 was a good one, having an interactive online game show that was free to play for all Xbox Live Gold subscribers. Of course, with the same few people racking up high scores all the time and rarely being able to be a part of the actual mob or play as the one, interest in the game appears to have fallen drastically. As such, it appears as though Microsoft has pulled the plug on 1 vs. 100, which won’t be returning for what would have been its third season.

According to the press release, Microsoft Game Studios General Manager Dave McCarthy had some words to say about the game. McCarthy stated “When we started on this journey, we knew we were creating an entirely new genre of entertainment that would be a continually evolving concept.” Remaining upbeat about the situation, McCarthy continued saying “We’re very proud of the ‘1 vs 100’ team and their accomplishments, and are excited to apply what we’ve learned to future programming.” My personal suggestion for their next project is an online version of Family Feud that has you playing in Xbox Live parties, with survey answers coming from audience polls.
