Microsoft has announced the pricing for the Microsoft Surface , the company’s first foray into the tablet market.
After the prices were accidentally posted on its official online store earlier today, Microsoft later confirmed that the 32GB version of the tablet will cost $499, a price which lines up directly against its primary competitor, the new Apple iPad. A black Touch Cover keyboard will run you an extra $100 for that version.
A 64GB edition, which comes with the aforementioned black Touch Cover, will cost $699. On their own, Touch Covers are available in various colors for $119 each, while a thicker version of the keyboard can be bought for $129.
The Microsoft Surface will release on October 26.
