Though no official price point has been set for Microsoft’s upcoming Natal camera and motion-sensing gameplay device, a Variety blog posting by Chris Morris does shed some light on what interested consumers can expect. In particular, early adopters can expect an elevated retail price due to the novelty and hype surrounding the peripheral. Subsequently, the price will come down to fuel demand. Morris quotes Microsoft’s Robbie Bach as saying: “Relative to Natal, we’ll see how the pricing cost works out,” he said. “But people should except [expect?] that it will go through the usual price curve.” Furthermore, when asked when the code name Natal will be replaced, Bach jokingly answered “When we tell you to call it something else.”
