Minecon Freebies And Schedule Announced

If you’re like me, you’ve been frustrated with the lack of attention paid to clothing accessories in Minecraft. Well, it looks like the people at Mojang have heard our clothing-related complaints and are doing something about it; attendees to November’s Minecon, will be given a flamboyant in-game cloak.



Obviously, a free in-game cloak isn’t the only thing drawing people to Las Vegas for the Minecraft convention, but the details have been a little fuzzy until today. The Minecon website has received a well-deserved update, which includes a full schedule. Here are a few of the highlights:

  • Build contests

  • Autograph and Picture Time with the Mojang team and Top Minecraft YouTubers

  • Costume contests

  • Exhibits by leading gaming and Minecraft related companies

  • Meeting friends from around the world

  • Commemorative merchandise

  • Indie Developer Theater

    Minecon will crash land in Las Vegas on November 18th-19th. Tickets are still available, and if you purchase them before September 30th, they’re only $99. After that, you’ll have to shell out $139.
