Though there has been some loud complaining about hacking on the PlayStation 3 version of Black Ops, it seems 2009’s critical darling Modern Warfare 2 has become completely unplayable due to the PS3’s recent security update. If you are one of the many affected by this issue, and are worried about support for a two-year old title, sit tight, as a patch will be delivered sometime tomorrow that will make the game playable again and address some hacking issues that permeated some of Modern Warfare 2’s landscapes.  In addition to the PS3 patch, another similar patch will be rolled out in the next few days to address hacking on the Xbox 360 and PC versions of the game. Though these versions of the game don’t suffer from as many issues as the PS3 version, if you’ve been in the trenches with Modern Warfare 2 lately, you no doubt have seen the havoc hackers have wreaked on the game’s community in recent months. |
