More Details of Days of Future Past and Apocalypse Revealed

Hot on the heels of the multi-cover release of Empire magazine (which showcases many of characters featured in the upcoming Days of Future Past ), Brian Singer and writer Simon Kinberg reveal even more details regarding the films plot in a recent interview.

When speaking to Empire, one of the first things discussed is exactly how Days will reconcile plot points that carries over from previous films (like 2013’s The Wolverine for example). In regards to Logan losing his adamantium claws, Singer suggests that perhaps Magneto could “…reconstitute the adamantium claws…Wolverine has a different relationship with Magneto, and perhaps Magneto could forge them.”

Interestingly enough, Rogue also receives her own cover, even though it was recently announced that one of her major scenes would be cut from the film. This led people to speculate that Anna Paquin would not appear in the movie at all. While Kinberg states that “It was one real sequence in the movie. We felt like it was taking tension out of the main story drive,” Singer is quick to clarify that “It does not mean that we won’t see her in the film.”

Singer and Kinberg reveal more in the interview with Empire , confirming that Apocalypse will NOT be a Magneto possessed alien (as some rumors online have suggested) and that the events of Days will lead directly into the 2016 sequel.
