New Fallout New Vegas DLC Broken From The Start?

New Fallout New Vegas DLC Broken From The Start?

None

It appears Honest Hearts, the new Fallout: New Vegas DLC, isn’t working properly on release day. Apparently, the culprit is the “ED-E, My Love” side quest, according to a comment made by a Bethesda representative on the company’s blog. It is comforting that they are already hard at work on a patch, but it’s probably worth noting that the aforementioned blog post reads: “If you already have a save game where the bug is occurring, the fix will not apply and you’ll need to revert to an earlier save prior to ED-E leaving in order to play through Honest Hearts.” This may not be a problem to some considering Fallout fans love using that save button, but there’s a chance that less save-obsessed players may lose quite a bit of pregress.

Of course, this isn’t the first time the game has had bug issues, as anyone who started playing on day one will attest. But it’s not like Fallout 3 didn’t have problems with DLC too. Obsidian has been given harsh words before, but has still insisted that it has improved its internal QA. We hope this is bright news for future titles. Considering a new engine is being used for Skyrim, we have our fingers crossed that things at Bethesda will begin to go more smoothly.
