New Tekken 7 Update Addresses Matchmaking Issues

New Tekken 7 Update Addresses Matchmaking Issues

A new patch for the new Tekken 7 has been released by Bandai Namco, updating the 3D fighter up to version 1.02. Included in the patch are tweaks all revolving around Tekken 7 ’s online systems. The main portion of Tekken 7 ’s new update involve the game’s matchmaking technology. The patch addresses stability, as well as “more consistently” establishing connections with other players.

In addition to this, Tekken 7 will no longer display a player’s information before a match starts. So things like character, title, rank and wins won’t be visible beforehand. This seems like a deliberate disconnection countermeasure.

Finally, the update also changes voice chat slightly. Players now have the option to toggle voice chat on or off with the Options button. By default, voice chat is set to off.

This patch is also, for now, exclusive to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of Tekken 7 . The PC versions will receive this update next week. Bandai Namco also says it has plans for further improvements sooner rather than later.
