Although industry analysts like Michael Pachter were predicting a brutal February for Nintendo ahead of the 3DS launch, it seems Nintendo had a great month in both hardware and software sales. Though it was predicted that the Wii would shift 200,000 units or less during last month, the console actually sold 465,000 units, shattering expectations.


First-party Nintendo games have been selling well, with Donkey Kong Country bringing its total US sales up to two million, according to Nintendo. Looks like Nintendo cleaned up pretty well for a company on the “last legs” of its console cycle (according to some).
