Nintendo Introduces Mall Program

Nintendo Introduces Mall Program

None

For parents who know their kid loves video games but don’t know which games are hot on the market right now, Nintendo has a solution.

This winter, Nintendo will be visiting malls all around the country in order to give people hands-on time with upcoming Nintendo games for the Nintendo DS, 3DS, and Wii. Not only that, but ten malls, over a ten-day period from November 11th to November 20th, will get a special preview of The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword. Of course, the game will be releasing shortly thereafter, so prepare for the crazy holiday rush.

A press release gives some details about which games you can expect to see:

Nintendo 3DS games available to play at the mall program include Super Mario 3D Land, Mario Kart, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D, Pokémon Rumble Blast, Star Fox 64 3D, Tetris Axis, nintendogs + cats, Skylanders: Spyro’s Adventure from Activision Publishing Inc. (also available for Wii), and Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition from CAPCOM.

Wii games available to play at the mall program include The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, Kirby’s Return to Dream Land, Mario Kart Wii, New Super Mario Bros. Wii, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Donkey Kong Country Returns, Wii Play: Motion, Wii Sports Resort, Just Dance3 from Ubisoft, and Zumba Fitness 2 from Majesco Entertainment.

Games for the Nintendo DS family of systems available to play at the mall program include Kirby Mass Attack, Fossil Fighters: Champions, Professor Layton and the Last Specter, and Bejeweled 3 from PopCap.

Oh, and you’ll even be able to take your picture with Nintendo’s mascots like Donkey Kong and Mario. Santa might have a few less children sitting on his lap this year.
