One of the biggest criticisms of the OnLive service has been its subscription-based model, which charged users a monthly-fee to access its library of content (which all needed to be purchased separately. However, effective immediately, the subscription component of the service has been cancelled, and OnLive accounts are free to create. Of course, you’ll still have to pay for access to purchased games (using OnLive’s PlayPass system) but preview content (including demos) is now completely free to access for all users.  |
