PlayStation Home Getting Updated

None

PlayStation Home was intended to act as the central hub for all PS3 social interaction and game interactivity. Now, it’s little more than a tiny diversion.

Well, Sony is updating Home in order to help gamers find new opponents and new games. The world will be divided into four districts, each themed after a game genre. The Action District will have FPS and horror-based titles, the Sportswalk offers sports games, the Adventure District will house RPG and Adventure games, and the Pier Park is for casual titles.

The update will also come with a new user interface which will be re-tooled and streamlined for easy interaction.

Now, as much flak as PS Home might get, Sony has said that 23 million users have tried home, spending, on average, seventy minutes online for each log in. That’s pretty big.
