Portal 2 Soundtrack Is Free

Portal 2 Soundtrack Is Free

None

When Portal 2 was first released, fans slammed Valve for its decision to include day one paid DLC. Of course, this DLC was nothing more than tiny hats you could put on your testing robots. It was entirely optional and merely cosmetic, but the frothing masses on the internet hated it anyway.

So now Valve is proving that they really do have the fans’ best interests in mind by giving them tons of free Portal 2 stuff. Their first release was a Portal 2 level editor, which will no doubt create tons of great user-generated levels in the near future. Their second release is something to listen to while designing those devious test chambers.

Songs to Test By , as the album is titled, has been released free of charge and contains 23 tracks totaling 73 minutes all together. In addition, the album comes with shortened versions of six of the songs, which are intended to be used as ringtones. They are pre-formatted for both Android and iPhone smartphones, making it easy to transfer them to your handheld device.

On the official Portal 2 site, the album has “Volume 1” attached to the title, so that means that we’ll most likely be seeing another album release sometime in the future. Until then, you can stop playing “Still Alive” on an endless loop. Finally.
