Respawn Working With Microsoft To Fix The Xbox One Controller

Earlier this week, Verge Editor Sean Hollister confirmed via their website that Respawn has been working closely with Microsoft to make some changes to the Xbox One controller. The news originally surfaced during an exclusive interview that Sean had with Titanfall design leader Justin Hendry.

Hendry stated that they are currently working together to fix the controller input and improve the overall sensitivity and precision of the analog sticks. He also revealed that both teams are working on a new version of the console’s upscale tool to achieve full HDTV standards for gaming. Both of these features will appear in a future patch download and have the potentially to greatly impact many other Xbox One games moving forward.

Hearing this news only confirms just how important Titanfall will be for Microsoft’s next-gen console in the months and years ahead. Considering that the studio has already spent roughly $100 million on the controller alone, I would say that it is absolutely essential that they get it to work exactly the way it was originally intended to.

Titanfall is scheduled to open up a closed beta as early as tomorrow. You can currently register for the beta over at http://www.titanfall.com/beta . The finished game will launch on the Xbox One, PC, and Xbox 360 next month.
