RUMOR: LIMBO PS3-Bound?

RUMOR: LIMBO PS3-Bound?

None

Though LIMBO was one of the biggest downloadable indie releases last year, it was exclusive to the Xbox Live download service as part of the “Summer of Arcade” promotion. Developers Playdead did not see a release on other platforms in the cards. However, a recent filing with the Korean Ratings Board seems to point to an eventual PlayStation Network release.

Though the Korean Ratings Board seems like a strange place to look for information on new releases, games like Fruit Ninja Kinect and Sega Rally Online Arcade have all appeared on the service before official announcement. The likelihood of there being some measure of truth to this rumor is fairly good.

Given LIMBO’s popularity, a release on the PSN might prove to be a good move. Since Playdead announced LIMBO 2 late last year without mentioning anything about console exclusivity, this could be a chance to introduce LIMBO to the PS3 crowd before the sequel arrives.
