According to a report from GoNintendo, the Wii U may be on store shelves before Black Friday this year. The report comes from a GameStop employee who noticed several Wii U titles on an upcoming release list. Supposedly, Wii U pre-orders will start to be taken next week along with pre-orders for Wii U titles. As of now, it is not clear whether the console will launch on the week of Black Friday or before it. In addition, the upcoming games list features several titles at the price point of $49.99, ten dollars less than the current industry standard. Most Wii games also shared this price point, undercutting the other two consoles in exchange for its weaker system capabilities. However, the Wii U has proven to be more powerful than both current consoles, so if these prices are accurate it could be a huge boon to Nintendo’s game sales.
