Single-Player Progress Doesn’t Transfer when Upgrading Games from PS3 to PS4

Single-Player Progress Doesn’t Transfer when Upgrading Games from PS3 to PS4

All over the Internet, we are seeing deals that allow gamers to “upgrade” their current-gen games to next-gen games when next-gen consoles come out. Games like Call of Duty: Ghosts , Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag , Battlefield 4 , Watch_Dogs , and more have been the focus of these campaigns, some offering to allow you to net a next-gen version of a game by spending just 10 dollars more on a current-gen version.

Unfortunately, simply being able to play a game on a next-generation console is not the same as being able to play YOUR game on a next-generation console. Many developer and publisher representatives have been clarifying that single-player progress in many of these titles will not be carrying over from one generation to another. Multiplayer progress in games such as Battlefield 4 and Call of Duty: Ghosts will carry over, and that’s fine for games with a multiplayer focus, but games such as Watch_Dogs and Assassin’s Creed, which are being sold mostly on their single-player, make this offer seem a little bit less enticing. Be sure to keep this in mind when upgrading your games.
