Sony Shuts Down Resistance Servers on April 8th

The resistance has been crushed. Lord Vader will be pleased…. I mean… what was I talking about again?

Oh yes! Sony has decided that they will be officially shutting down all their PS3 Resistance servers on April 8 th . Resistance: Fall of Man, Resistance: 2, and Resistance: 3 will all go offline only on that day. Players will not be able to use either online vs. multiplayer or co-op after that.

Insomniac games has mentioned that they will be logging onto the servers to play with fans before the servers shut down. “There are a large variety of reasons why they have to shut down,” Insomniac said. “Sony makes that call though, not us. They maintain online.”

Currently, it is unclear whether or not Sony will be ending online support for the Vita Resistance title, Resistance: Burning Skies , but for now it does not appear so. So get on Resistance and have some fun, before everything gets shifted to the PS4.
