Looking for more storage for your Xbox 360? You may want to track down a good importer. IGN reports that Japan is going to get a standalone 250 GB HDD for the Xbox 360 starting this March, but that the North American region is not scheduled to receive the product. A Microsoft spokesperson told IGN that “Microsoft is now offering a standalone 250GB Hard Drive in Japan to provide consumers in Japan more storage options for their games and entertainment.” They then went ahead and reiterated a point they seem to make frequently: “We work closely with retailers to determine the best approach for our products on a region-by-region basis.” Apparently, the last part of the comment is supposed to justify why the rest of the world isn’t getting the big bad HDD. Don’t hold your breath, however; the 250 GB is expected to come stateside soon. |
