Star Wars Galaxies Plans Its End Game

Star Wars Galaxies Plans Its End Game

None

With The Old Republic coming out soon, it’s about time that Star Wars Galaxies finally kicked the bucket. The game will go offline December 15th, but when it does, it will do one of the rarest things in MMO history: it will have an ending.

Starting next month, Sony Online Entertainment will run a series of events and contests that will allow players to rack up Galactic Civil War points. Then, before the game is shut down, Sony will count up the points and figure out which side will win on each game server. This will also determine the final game events that will transpire on the day of the game’s inevitable end.

To participate in these events, you need to have an account on Star Wars Galaxies by September 15th. That being said, billing for the game will turn off on October 15th, and players will be able to play clear on to the game’s end. So if you never tried out the game, you might as well try it out now; you can even be a part of the game’s final moments.
