Surprise JRPG Coming From Square Enix Later This Year

Surprise JRPG Coming From Square Enix Later This Year

Yesterday, Gematsu published an intriguing interview with Square Enix President Yosuke Matsuda in which he revealed that a surprise JRPG is currently in development and is expected to launch sometime in the company’s fiscal 2015 period. He added that this game will be made specifically for home consoles and will be a welcomed addition to several of the other titles already scheduled to launch between now and then.

The studio just released Final Fantasy Type-0 HD on both the PS4 and Xbox One yesterday along with a demo for Final Fantasy XV . It’s also worth noting that both Dragon Quest Heroes and Kingdom Hearts 3 are in serious development mode now, but most likely won’t launch anytime soon.

Hearing that Square Enix are working on a surprise JRPG only means that E3 2015 will be even more exciting. Luckily we don’t have to wait too much longer now to see if news starts circulating at that time.

Do any of you have any ideas on what this surprise JRPG title might be? If so, please feel free to share your thoughts on this topic in the comments section below.
