Scientists at the University of Pittsburgh’s McGowan Institute for Regenerative Medicine have created a gun that would make GladOs proud. Appearing in a video on National Geographic’s website, Dr. Jörg Gerlach explains how his ‘skin cell gun’ can help burn victims recover much faster than conventional methods.  Pennsylvania state police officer Matthew Uram, himself a burn victim, testified to the effectiveness of the tech. He was the victim of second degree burns to the right side of his face and the upper part of his right arm. His recovery time? Four days. |
