Though not particularly shocking, Janco Partners analyst Mike Hickey has predicted that The Sims 3 will likely sell more than 4 million copies in 2009 alone. Set to drop in June, the game would have four months to outsell The Sims 2, which “launched in 2004 and sold 3.5 million units that year.” Combine this prediction with The Sims’ online store, and it looks like the franchise may be more robust than ever.
