Why Didn’t Nintendo Show This New Zelda Game At E3?

With the classic Link to the Past making a 3Ds debut and The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker returning in HD, the Zelda name is finally seeing some much-needed activity. You’d think Zelda fans would know everything there is to know at this point, but apparently, we’re still out of the loop. Series creator Shigeru Miyamoto recently confirmed that the new Zelda game coming to the Wii U is further into production than most think.

What’s interesting here is that E3, the biggest gaming event of the year, happened about five minutes ago, yet we heard nothing of this mystery Zelda title. Sure, Nintendo opted for a Nintendo Direct live stream over an E3 conference, but you’d think we’d have heard something, right?

Nope. As Miyamoto stated, Nintendo was “thinking about showing it at E3, but decided to wait just a little bit longer before sharing it with everyone.”

Let’s hope we don’t end up with another Final Fantasy Versus XIII .
