Rocket League is Psyonix’ breakout hit from last year that has, so far, been available on PC and PlayStation 4 with cross-platform play. Soon, it will be available on the Xbox One as well and, though it won’t have cross-platform play, it will feature a few exclusive skins.
Although we have no release date for the DLC, we do know that there will eventually be cosmetics themed after the third-person shooter, Sunset Overdrive. Not only will the add-on change the look of the car, it will also change the boost and the accompanying sound effect. While boosting, players will be able to hear the sound of the Ahab gun from the game. The colors will be reminiscent of Overcharge and Fizzie from Sunset Overdrive.
Rocket League offers competitive physics-based gameplay where gamers take control of cars and drive, slide, flip and fly around the arena to try to get an explosive ball in the other team’s goal. There are 1v1, 2v2, 3v3, and 4v4 modes. The first three varieties come in ranked and unranked flavors.
