Blizzard Trademarks Mists Of Pandaria

Blizzard Trademarks Mists Of Pandaria

None

When Blizzard trademarks something, Warcraft addicts pay attention. Their most recent trademark filing is for “Mists of Pandaria” and it covers computer game software, discs, DLC, and more.

For those of you who don’t remember the heyday of Warcraft III, the Pandaren are a race of giant talking panda bears that have a habit of getting drunk and talking in horribly stereotypical Asian accents. They were originally a joke race in the Warcraft universe, but they were playable in the Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne expansion.

Fans have begun to speculate that Mists of Pandaria will be an expansion for World of Warcraft, Blizzard’s bestselling MMO, and many believe it will only be a short matter of time before Blizzard officially announces it.

What will this new (and presumably more lighthearted) expansion bring us? Will the Pandaren become a playable race? Will we see all new territories? Blizzard told IGN they’re not ready to talk about it yet, but that hasn’t kept fans from coming up with their own takes on what the expansion entails.

We will bring you more information about Mists of Pandaria as it becomes available.
