What’s better than an online game about shooting people in the face? How about an online TV show about an online game about shooting people in the face? One way that Activision is going to try to convince you to become a paying subscriber to its new Call of Duty: Elite service is by supplying a web series to subscribers only. According to The Guardian, Activision is sparing no expense in making this series something that TV fanatics will be jealous of. “We have engaged some top Hollywood talent to create linear video content that will be exclusive to Elite members,” chief executive Eric Hirshberg of Activision Publishing said. “That content is inspired by Call of Duty. We’re not going to give much more detail until we have something to show. That’ll be later in the year.”  We are hoping that we will receive more details about this new web series when Activision gives its big speech this year at E3. So now, with no other info to go on, all we can do is wait and speculate on who this “top Hollywood talent” can be. Personally, I’m hoping for Ben Afleck and Matt Damon, but then again, I’m a horrible person. |
