Crash Bandicoot being added to Skylanders Imaginators was a pretty big deal. He’s a video game icon who hasn’t appeared in a game in years. To see him brought back and playable via a Sensei NFC figure was a pretty big deal. Especially since it also meant a level based on his games! But, it wasn’t a one-off affair. He’s apparently a permanent part of Skylanders now, as he’s in Skylanders Academy too.
Skylanders Academy is a Netflix-exclusive cartoon series based on the Activision game. He’s one of the stars of episode 11, “Crash Landing.” He finds himself in the Skylands, and Spyro, Stealth Elf, and Eruptor help him find a way back home. He speaks for the first time in the history of ever, in an Australian accent, no less.
This is quite a fun cameo! Even if you don’t normally watch Skylanders Academy , maybe turn on Netflix and watch this episode? Do it for Crash.
