School will soon be in session. After years of making brief promos and designing characters that seemed destined to get their own show, Activision has gone ahead and made a Skylanders cartoon. Activision Blizzard Studios’ Skylanders Academy is coming to Netflix on October 28.
Think of Skylanders Academy as a prequel. It focuses on Spyro (Justin Long), Eruptor (Jonathan Banks), and Stealth Elf (Ashley Tisdale), a team of new students learning how to be Skylanders at Master Eon’s school. Norm MacDonald, Susan Sarandon, Bobcat Goldthwait, Catherine O’Hara, and Parker Posey are some of the other actors who’ll appear on the show.

Did you like how it looked? Apparently, Activision Blizzard Studios and Netflix are pretty confident about Skylanders Academy . So much so, they’ve already confirmed a second season will arrive in 2017. I think it looks okay for what it is, and will probably make a lot of little kids happy.
