With the fourth quarter already being loaded with first-person shooters, having one slip to early 2011 isn’t necessarily a bad thing. However, with a game that looks as good as Crysis 2, it is important to give fans an actual date to look forward to rather than just a blanket “early 2011” window.  Fortunately, the developers at Crytek have recently nailed down the game’s new release date on their official Twitter account (via 1Up). Crysis 2 will be hitting the states on March 22, 2011, with a European release following quickly on March 25, 2011. It may still be a ways off; however, at least we now know the actual date on which the wait will finally end. |
