DeNA Wants Nintendo Titles to Make Over $25 Million a Month

Late last week, Reuters conducted an interview in which DeNA CEO Isao Moriyasu stated that he wants Nintendo mobile titles to make over $25 million in sales each month. Moriyasu added that DeNA’s best-selling game right now currently brings in 3 billion yen a month and he wants Nintendo titles to be played by hundreds of millions of people.

DeNA and Nintendo first announced their plans to work together last month during an investor’s conference in Japan. Their first mobile game is expected to hit the market sometime later this year.

The mobile games market is easily one of the most lucrative fields to be involved with right now. Given the power and recognition behind the Nintendo brand, it’s very possible that these games could meet and even exceed the monthly $25 million goal set by Moriyasu. This will obviously depend on the titles themselves and whether or not people decide to invest heavily into them.

Do any of you think this ambitious goal set by Moriyasu is achievable? Please feel free to let us know your candid thoughts on the matter and more in the comments section below.
