Today, there was some potentially bad news for anyone looking forward to the recently announced Destination Arcade app for the Xbox 360. It seems as though the service has been delayed to coincide with the annual Summer of Arcade event, meaning it will become available on July 21st. While this is a slight downer, Xbox Live’s Major Nelson continued to heap on the negative news with an update to his post about Destination Arcade’s delay.  In his update Major Nelson states “I have learned that the Destination Arcade app will only be available for the duration of the Summer of Arcade promotion which ends August 18th.” Does this mean that Xbox 360 owners will only be able to download the app during the Summer of Arcade promotion or that they’ll only be able to use the app during that time? While this still remains a mystery, we’ll let you know if we hear anything more on the subject. |
