Germany Leaks SSFAE PC Date; Svensson Elaborates

None

A while back, Amazon Germany posted a release date for the PC version of Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition. Good old Deutchland was scheduled to receive the game on July 15, 2011, which was odd considering its North American and Japanese release dates were still up in the aether.

Well if there’s one thing Capcom reps like to do, it’s talk to—and subsequently tease—the fans. Anyone who has been spending a lot of time on the official Capcom forums (you know, because Shoryuken.com is down) saw that Capcom’s own Christian Svensson responded to this rumor with great news.

“I can’t speak for Germany” Svennson said, “but I’m hoping to beat that date by a fair bit in North/South America. In about a week or so, I should have a much firmer date to provide.”

Svensson went on to drop some details about the title, stating that it will take full advantage of Nvidia’s 3D Vision drivers, allowing for 3D-type gameplay reminiscent of Super Street Fighter IV on the 3DS. He was also asked about SSF4:AE’s new PC netcode but had no new information to give us at this time.

If you are one of the few proud PC fighting gamers left—a dying breed—you should be getting your Street Fighter fix about a month after E3. However, you may already be too busy drooling over all the newly announced PC games to even care.
