Level 5 Announces New Titles

Level 5 Announces New Titles

None

Over the past weekend, Level-5 had a press conference where president Akihiro Hino announced several new titles.

Now, when people think of Level 5, they most likely think of Professor Layton, and while there wasn’t any new mainstream Layton game announced, there was a new iOS title in the works. The game is called Layton Brothers Mystery Room, and, strangely enough, it doesn’t actually star the iconic professor. Instead, it stars Professor Layton’s son Alfendy Layton, who owns a detective agency. Gameplay will be much like the Phoenix Wright series, as Alfendy will root out suspects and find clues in a crime scene in order to solve a case.

Yōkai Watch, a puzzle game involving a child who can see ghosts through his watch, was also announced, along with soccer title Inazuma Eleven and adventure game Time Travelers. Most of these titles are set for 2012 releases.

Level 5 also revealed a few more details on Fantasy Life, an upcoming RPG that includes over twenty different character classes. It will be scored by famous Final Fantasy composer Nobou Uematsu, and drawn by famous Final Fantasy artist Yoshitaka Amano.
