Mass Effect 2 Collectors' Edition Detailed; Game Utilizes Two Discs

None

BioWare recently released details concerning the Collector’s Edition of Mass Effect 2 for PC and Xbox 360 (pictured below).

* The full version of Mass Effect 2

* Bonus in–game Collectors’ Edition weapon and armor

* 48–page hardcover art book

* Limited Edition Cerberus Network card granting access to bonus content

* Issue #1 of the Mass Effect comic book by Dark Horse comics.

* All housed in a premium tin package with exclusive artwork.

In addition to all the extra goodies, BioWare’s Community Coordinator, Chris Priestly, confirmed that the game will span two discs both for PC and Xbox 360, regardless of the edition you purchase.

While PC gamers won’t have to worry about swapping discs, as a full install of the game is required, Xbox 360 owners will have to swap out the game discs even if they install the game to the HDD.

Chris Priestly posted the following clarifying comments on BioWare’s community forums:

“Even though there is a disc swap, it occurs at a carefully planned place in the game (that does not interfere with gameplay) and is done once. You do not swap back and forth. 1 swap and then done.”

“Why 2 discs? Answer: Because you cannot fit this much awesome on one disc.”
