Metal Gear Solid 4 Finally Getting Trophies

Metal Gear Solid 4 Finally Getting Trophies

None

Who would have thought that trophies and achievements were going to be so important to this generation of gamers? Hideo Kojima apparently didn’t, because Metal Gear Solid 4 still lacks trophy support. Remember when we didn’t need trophies to motivate us to take Solid Snake into the field? Those were the days.

However, according to a report coming out of Famitsu, a Japanese budget re-release of the game will be dropping in August complete with trophy support patched in. The report calls this re-release version “The Best” version. Most likely that title will be changed should it come to America.

In addition, Kojima productions will be holding a Metal Gear anniversary event in Tokyo on August 30th. Here, they will announce something new about Konami’s new “Transfarring” capability, which lets you transfer data from the PS3 to the Vita and back again mid-game. Supposedly, Transfarring will play some important role in a new game that Kojima is creating. However, this is all just rumor and speculation at this point.

We will bring you more news about Metal Gear Solid 4, and the new Transfarring system come late August when the event kicks off.
