TGS 2011: ZotE HD, MGS HD Get Transfarred

None

Are you torn between buying the Zone of the Enders and Metal Gear Solid HD bundles on the PlayStation 3 or the PlayStation Vita? Not sure whether you’d prefer to play these games in full 1080p glory on your 120Hz 3D television or take Kojima’s classics on the go, to entertain you while you wait for that one jerk in the drive-thru line to finish paying with pennies?

Konami is determined to make your choice all the easier with the sentiment, “Why not have it both ways?” As we noted a few weeks back, Peace Walker HD will be taking advantage of the “Transfarring” system to enable players to retain their progress from the PSP version in the PlayStation 3 version of the title and vice-versa. Now, however, it has come to light that “Transfarring” will be making its way to both Konami collections for the Vita, enabling direct save-file continuance from one platform to the other.

Considering how under-publicized the Zone of the Enders games were, it’s encouraging to see them getting the full star treatment this generation. Is there hope of seeing a third entry in the series? Well, hope springs eternal, they say.
