We recently reported that Microsoft was allegedly at work remaking Halo: Combat Evolved, presumably with an updated graphics engine for the Xbox 360. Microsoft, however, has responded to these rumors with a resounding ‘no comment.’ “Right now our focus is on supporting Halo: Reach. We have nothing to announce at this time.” While this is hardly a confirmation, it is obviously not a denial of the project either.  As reported earlier, Games Master magazine implied that 343 Industries was at work remaking Halo: Combat Evolved utilizing the Halo: Reach engine, which would presumably be ready for Halo’s ten year anniversary come next November. |
